What, exactly, has he done to piss you off?

After looking through his commenting history, I don't see anything particularly egregious. Link me, and let's figure out a constructive way to solve this.

I understand. Believe me, I've been here for years . I know . And I phrased my response to you carefully.

I just want to make certain that you (we) do not get in the habit of attacking others using Oppo as a platform. There are many creative ways of skirting this and getting around this issue while still venting. But as a moderator I felt the need to step in and remind you (and others) of the approach we prefer here.

He's a long-time (by which I mean years) FP semi-troll. More of a bozo than a troll, really. A lot of the FP non-oppo regulars have their quirks: DrivenToInsanity, for example, has no sense of humor that can be detected.

Being Dutch and Irish, I get the whole temper thing. I've shown my own temper on many an occasion. In that sense, I suppose I'm not in any particular place to criticize; though, to be fair, I'm not trying to criticize.

But as Gamecat235 points out, if there's an issue, let one of us know. Here's a general list of admins here: Nobody, Dusty Ventures, pauljones, Crown Victor Victoria, Party-vi, More Power, Axel-ripper, Brian, the life of, Das Wauto and Jagvar.

Now, technically, our moderating power isn't all that extensive, particularly compared to other places where I am a moderator. But we can call in the right people from Gawker IT if there's an issue.

But if it's just a guy being a dick to you in a thread somewhere... well, as much as I like to complain about Kinja, I enjoy the shit out of having a "dismiss" button. If it's more than that, let us know and we'll work to fix things.

But in the near-term, please post the links when you can. We'll have a little fun coming up with creative, constructive, and potentially amusing ways to diffuse the situation.
